WE HAVE MERCH!

What Is “Adventures in Erylia”?

Adventures in Erylia is a podcast where five friends sit around the table and record themselves playing Dungeons and Dragons.

We are a 5th Edition actual play podcast set in the homebrew setting of Erylia. The show focuses on a group of four members of Syvahl’s Guild of Adventurers as they grow together and help make Erylia a better place. The show has a slower pace that focuses on the players’ roleplay and interactions within the world of Erylia. If you are looking for a show that feels like you have an over the shoulder view of four adventurers in a fantasy setting then this is the show for you.

The show is highly edited to morph our home game into an experience that is similar to an audio drama with background music, ambience, and sound effects.

What is “Erylia”?

Erylia is a homebrew fantasy setting created by Damian the DM. It is a medieval themed world with medium to high magic. Dragons have long since disappeared and turned into myth and though many still believe in the gods, it has been millennia since they have been recorded walking the mortal realm. In 2022, our story reaches a point where the characters and world are starting to uncover what has caused both of these events.

Who Are We?

Our ragtag group of adventurers, the players, not the characters, started getting together in the last half of 2016. Damian, the Dungeon Master, wanted to start a group of his own after life changes resulted in leaving his previous group. His fiance, Caitlin, had a passing interest in D&D, as a fan of Critical Role and actual play podcasts. Caitlin found a common interest with a coworker, Christa, when the discovered they both watched Critical Role. Christa's boyfriend, Chris, was also into Critical Role and had some previous experience with role-playing games. While the group was beginning to form, Chantalle, one of Christa and Caitlin's coworkers, took an interest in the hobby, having never been exposed to it before. Damian had been working on the concept of his homebrew setting, Erylia, and this group found themselves as adventurers in it.
