Announcement - Covid Hiatus and Remaster Project

So this announcement went out a couple months ago in the podcast feed, but I didn't consider giving it it's own blog post where people who may not follow the show can see it.

At this point, it has been about two and a half months since our last new regular episode. This is because a couple years ago, I made the decision that we would not record far ahead of the released episodes of the show. I used to allow this but it ended up with me feeling overwhelmed. This means that shortly after stay at home orders went into effect, we ran out of new content. This is where the remaster project comes in.

Ever since running out of new audio to edit, I have been working on remastering old episodes of the show. At this point I have done episodes 1 through 4 of the first arc of the Mieveht Story. These episodes are all getting recut, new music added, and new plugins and editing style. The goal is to bring these episodes more in line with the type of show we are putting out today. Maybe you missed these changes because they are way at the beginning of the feed, but even if you have already listened to these episodes, I think the new life brought into them now warrants another listen. This will also explain where we have been for the last few months if you missed things after our podcast announcement. Here is a list of the remastered episodes on the website if you would like to check them out.

A couple other minor news pieces that we haven’t recorded anything to talk about for a while yet. I have started (re)working on a YouTube channel. The primary focus of the channel right now has been featuring the map making software I use, DungeonFog, through some quick tip videos and videos of work that I have done with maps in it. I also recently was given a review copy of a D&D 5E supplement, produced by another podcast, called Unearthed Tips and Tricks Volume 2. The review was posted on the website last week. I also want to take a moment to highlight Caitlin’s brand, Toscobble Cottage. She sells T-shirts, stickers, and more with nerdy and geeky references as well as does resin art that she makes at home. And lastly, though this has gone on for quite some time without us promoting it very well. Caitlin, Chantalle, and I are streaming video games on Twitch every Wednesday night around 8pm Pacific Time. You can catch all of us at once on our newer Live Page but these are also our individual channels: Caitlin, Chantalle, Damian.
